Onyx Switchblade: The Lions from Kiev
Oct. 3, 2022
John Bowen
Fiction: Debut
A spy thriller debut that is looking to break from the pack. Written under a pseudonym by a 30-year military veteran and created in the spirit of Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum. A vivid look at what is going on behind the scenes in the world of NSA and CIA espionage, combined with a gripping spy story that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

When the NSA uncovers Russia's intent to invade the Ukraine, it is up to the CIA’s Thomas Harrington and the Lions from Kiev to keep the Russians from guessing how much the United States actually knows!

Despite his father’s desire that he follow him into British intelligence, Thomas Harrington charted a course that would eventually lead him to the CIA just as “Onyx Switchblade” is established. He becomes part of a classified deception plan that is intended to provide an alternative explanation to Russian leadership about how the United States had become aware of their intent, and to obscure the reason for the consistent accuracy of American efforts to counter Russian activities. In order to deceive the Russians, Harrington and his team are sent to Europe in order to attempt to retrieve critically important information from an almost impossible location. Along the way, Harrington teams up with four Ukrainian Spetsnaz troopers, and with the help of these “Ukrainian Lions,” he ventures behind the lines to conduct a tense and exciting mission.
