We Promised Utopia is a sci-fi epic centered around charismatic idealist, Isabel Bari, and her development of an eco-friendly, global economy as the foundation for a utopian world in the far future. WPU features a new type of climate-centric economy balancing scientific advancement and environmental conservationism which succeeds in creating an idealized world, but then mysteriously collapses. Three people, divided by thousands of years, are humanity’s only hope for survival amidst catastrophic climate change and corruption. A braided narrative interweaves the present, the utopian future, and a distant ice age where humans struggle at the brink of extinction.
