THE ANGRY SKIES
Jan. 26, 2022
Author:
Blake Kerr
Category:
Non-fiction: General/Other
Description:
The Angry Skies is a sequel to the author’s first nonfiction book, Sky Burial, An Eyewitness Account of China’s Brutal Crackdown in Tibet, originally published in 1993.

After two decades conducting unauthorized human rights investigations of China’s military occupation of Tibet, when China deemed him persona non grata, Blake Kerr went to Cambodia to assess victims of the Khmer Rouge genocide and met the architects of Pol Pot’s revolution. There have been many books on the Cambodian genocide. The Angry Skies will be the first book to include the perspectives of Khmer Rouge soldiers and their leaders on how the American bombing helped them rise to power. Lessons for current and future U.S. foreign policy beg many questions.
