Having volunteered in many communities and organizations during her life, the author felt the need to share some of her knowledge in Red, White, and Who. Granbury, Texas, is the focal point for the storyline in the book. The storyline is fiction. The town is real. The author lived in this small Texas town 17 years and worked with the organization of the 4th of July Parade and celebration for the most of that time. Much of her experience lands on the pages in this book.
