Our former publisher's neighborhood wasn’t the best fit so all rights are newly available.

"143 Reasons Mister Rogers Still Matters" tells Fred Rogers’ story from the people’s perspective. At its heart are the largest number of individual memories ever collected about the man dedicated to children and their grown-ups. Joanne Rogers, Fred's widow, shares stories about life at home with Fred and new sides to his personality are revealed through the memories of those who knew him best as well as experts from many fields, innovators who are introducing his message to new generations and the neighbors who met him in what he called the “sacred space” between the TV screen and wherever they received the “expression of care” he delivered in every episode of "Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood".

Candid stories and photos, many shared for the first time, enable readers to see Fred Rogers in refreshing new ways: focused, dedicated, extremely disciplined but also playful and very funny. This is a man who loved to laugh. The end result is kindness reflected: the 143 book is a love letter to the man who devoted his life to sharing love with others.

Also included:
• His friends share gifts they received from Fred. Some are surprising (Mister Rogers as a trash picker? Absolutely.); all are meaningful
• The archivist in charge of Fred's immense 18,000+ Archive picks twenty favorites

NA. However, when our book was with our former publisher, the audio rights sold so there is every reason to believe they will sell again.
Other Information:
We have paid to have this book proofread and designed. So it is essentially ready for the printer. This may prove to be a huge cost savings. Or, our new publisher may wish to design and edit the book to meet their own specifications. We'll be delighted either way. Currently, the book is 5.5" x 8.25", 328 pages and about 85,000 words with photos and illustrations throughout. Black and white with eight pages of color.

• We launched an extensive publicity campaign 18 months ago so have a devoted following eagerly awaiting this book's publication.
• Social media including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and an upcoming website are spreading the “143” message and promoting the book.
• We are currently speaking to Senator Tammy Baldwin about proclaiming May 23, 2020 “143 Day USA”. Last year's “143 Day in PA,” which was devoted to love, kindness and Mister Rogers was a resounding success. We're looking forward to helping to spread the theme of kindness throughout the nation.
• We'll be launching “Mister Rogers 143 Podcast” and many members of Fred's inner circle have agreed to be guests.
• We have been invited to appear on or participate in numerous promotional vehicles including podcasts, television shows, radio programs, magazines, newspapers and websites.
• Book clubs have already booked us to speak and participate in book signings
