“WITHOUT AIR FOR THE RETURN” tells the story of Sax, who leaves the heart in Mexico and embarks on a trip to the occupied area of Western Sahara. It is a trip to the depths of his soul that confronts him with love, the loyalty to a cause and with his own reasons to exist. “Without air for the return” goes from the violence of drug trafficking in Ciudad Juarez to the life without rules of some young squatters in a house in Barcelona, where they make plans to support the fighters for human rights trapped bythe regime of King Mohamed VI in the occupied Sahara.

Airy Sindik (Mexico, 1983) has a Bachelor in Sociology at the UNAM and a Masters in Creative Writing from the National University of Colombia. He graduated with a meritorious thesis with the novel "Without Air for the Return" (Sin Aire para el Regreso), which stands out for the coverage of the first intifada of the Arab spring in 2010 in the city of Laayoune in Western Sahara. The book was published by the Guadalajara University Press. He was recently chosen as a fellow at theIstanbul Fellowship. Airy has thus far been invited to give readings of "Without Air for the Return" at various events and places, such as the Mexican Consulate in Istanbul, the Guadalajara Book Fair, the National University of Bogota and the Medellin Book Fair, to name a few examples. He has also given readings at theEmbassy of Western Sahara in Mexico City and the Network of Embassies of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, among other places.
