The early history of the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team that focuses on the groundbreaking team of 1999 that captured the World Cup and put women’s soccer in America on the map. THE SISTERHOOD: The 99ers and the Rise of U.S. Women's Soccer is based largely on a series of interviews the author conducted with the team’s legendary coach Tony DiCicco (his last interviews before DiCicco's death last year) and with the players themselves, featuring extensive interviews with Michelle Akers.

Rob Goldman is the published author of several books. The writer Bill Madden, a Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, called Goldman’s ONCE THEY WERE ANGELS the “best team history in years.” Rob has made numerous national appearances on behalf of his books and has lectured at the Nixon Library. As an actor, he has been featured in several films including Dances With Wolves, Overboard, JFK, Hail Caesar! and 42.
