Acts of the Apostles
July 3, 2019
Rev. Raymond G. Cross
Non-fiction: Religion/Spirituality
Dr. Luke wrote the book of Luke and this book of Acts. He was a Gentile doctor who had become a believer in Jesus Christ. Very much of the New Testament was not written down at this time, so Dr. Luke decided to coordinate much of the various notes and oral truths in one place. These books reflect much of the familiarity and knowledge of individuals who knew Jesus and worked with Him. Also, Luke traveled with Paul extensively and much of his work reflect his personal knowledge of people who knew Christ, but also Luke’s personnel experiences with Paul and the Apostles, concerning Christ.
