Description:
Betrayed by the Army after Vietnam, betrayed by the CIA after a mission goes sour, Green Beret Richard Flaherty, the military’s most unconventional soldier, vows to bring both to their knees with a single stone – he doesn’t know that there’s a third enemy, and this one always wins.

The most unconventional man to ever serve in the US military, in 1966, Richard Flaherty needed a Congressional waver to enlist in the Army as he did not meet the height or weight requirements. Bullied and ridiculed at boot camp, Flaherty nonetheless achieved the kind of stature that’s only dreamed of: He became a captain in the Green Berets with 2 Bronze and a Silver Star. His decommission in 1971 was unexpected and devastating, and Flaherty, betrayed, sank into the murky world of mercenary work. Nonetheless, he gained a reputation for intelligence and tenacity, and was recruited by the CIA to arm the guerillas training to stop the spread of communism in Central America. When the CIA also betrays him, Flaherty vows to take down both enemies with a single stone.
