Feb. 21, 2019
Jennifer Marie Donahue
Fiction: Debut
When AirJet Flight 83 departs from Baltimore and crashes into the Key Bridge only three passengers survive. Charles Truslow, Estelle Quinlin, and Alexandra Toselli must now reconcile who they were when they boarded the plane with the new identity that emerges from the icy wreckage of the crash. Weaving together their stories from the days and decades both before and after the crash into a larger narrative, A COMMON DISASTER examines the pattern of belief evoked by accidents to show how individuals are changed by a common experience.
