Ninety Day Adventure: Army Trainers in Somalia
Dec. 31, 2018
Non-fiction narrative of the thirty-person Army team to go to Somalia to train the new Somali National Army how to drive the trucks and keep track of the supplies the US government has been sending to the country to fight the terrorist group Al Shabab. Unlike most other military non-fiction narratives, this story is not about valor, nor heroism, nor grace under fire: this story is a celebration of average conventional soldiers doing unconventional things. While the reader will not be impressed with overt heroics, they will connect with the people in the book and find humor in their follies.
