Film/TV Lionsgate and Common’s Freedom Road Productions are developing a limited series based on Zora Neale Hurston‘s Barracoon, which was published for the first time earlier this year. In this pre-FBF selling season we have recorded 45 film and tv licenses — 26 for general film/tv rights, and 19 for books specifically in development for television. At Putnam, Danielle Dieterich has been promoted to associate editor. Longtime CAA book-to-film agent Sally Willcox, has joined Paradigm, overseeing media rights, based in Beverly Hills. Mostly recently, Willcox worked at at Tobey Maguire’s Material overseeing acquisition and development. She was at CAA for 27 years before leaving in 2014.
