SUMMARY

I was born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo in 1949 with academic pursuits spanning three continents, University of Dakar, Senegal, University of Louvain Belgium, New York University, New York City in US where I completed my master’s In business administration.

After more than 35 years of extensive and diversified professional experience geared to assess the profitability, the viability and the stability of a business or a project, I gained a tremendous experience in the opportunity to provide an expert assessment of trade-offs between resources benefits and resources commitments arising from various management decisions and actions. The same experience also afforded me the opportunity to develop an expert ability and a keen insight in reviewing and expressing, in creative writing, various and sometimes contentious drivers in human conditions prevailing in economic, political, and social circumstances.

I have leveraged this experience over creative writing endeavors described below as I am pursuing a fulfilling quest and journey expanding my creative writing process.

My creative writing products cover two major themes:
-The difficult Settlement of terms of exchange between Developed and Underdeveloped Countries
-The catastrophic Governance failures that Elites have shown in many Underdeveloped Countries.

Below are Creative Writing products I have completed include under the pen name of XEBO:

-In 2014, Trafford Publishing Company published a novel titled; “KANY RISING”. This work of fiction of 706 pages attempts to answer the age-old question of what would happens throughout the world when a new mineral, with phenomenal properties to increase exponentially industrial and production capacity of mankind, is discovered somewhere in the world. If the location of that discovery is an impoverished country in an underdeveloped part of the globe, then all bent up uncontrollable forces would jump in the fray to ensure that access to that mineral is properly secured. In the process, these forces with narrow political, financial, nationalistic, and international objectives would eventually make the mess of everything in sight until an orderly process of compensation will be imposed to the impoverished nation. The implementation of various and colliding schemes, goals and objectives would lay bare shifting major North-South conflicts in an international drama never imagined. -In 2016, I completed a manuscript of another political drama around the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). This fictional narrative titled “WALLS OF SHAME – WEB OF DECEIT” provided a description of the Congolese Political Elite during the Second and Third Republic. This work of fiction of 461 pages shows how this Elite had continuously enabled every facet of retrograde political frameworks by its never-ending support of each successive regime that plundered the country from the time of Independence to date, putting aside the major aspirations of the entire Congolese population forgotten in the sea of wars and endless misery for the past sixty years or so. The narrative established that the same elite, prisoner of the walled compound that it has built and hided from the general population, has become completely unable and paralyzed to confront and to resolve major under development predicaments and challenges that the country has faced throughout. It also shows how the phenomena of walled compound society has crippled economic and social progress in many countries of Africa.

-In November of 2018, I completed a manuscript of a fictionalized account of a Haitian immigrant couple story in US. This narrative titled “BROKEN AND BITTER MIRRORS” of 230 pages provides a description of the ravaging echoes of the social disconnects that an immigrant couple confronts by following the aspirations projected in the host country of US against the aspirations left in their home country. Specifically, and to the point, the fictional narrative provides the ravaging echoes of the social disconnects that an entrenched political and social elite in Haiti, otherwise named the “1 Percent Circle” has pushed and nurtured throughout the Haitian society at home and abroad. The social disconnects have generated a strange and callous set of values promoting the obsession among the Haitian to join the same circle in plundering endlessly the impoverished nation and leading to unexpected matrimonial breakdowns.

-In February of 2022, I completed a manuscript of a fictionalized political conflict in Haiti, pitting two major communities in “PORT SALUT, IN THE MORNING” narrative of 467 pages. The narrative describes the slow displacing of the economic stranglehold of the island from an old declining Mulatto Merchant Community to a new Christian-Arab Enterprising Commercial Community. The displacing was accelerated during the Presidency of the Dictator Francois Duvalier, “PapaDoc”, who was ill bent to repress the Mulatto economic hegemony in place since the 1804 Independence of Haiti. An arranged marriage, designed to blunt Duvalier Dictatorship vagaries, between two powerful communities in Haiti set in motion a series of dangerous dispositions that will wreak havoc the lives of a generation of innocent people. An incredibly talented pride of a Christian-Arab prominent family in Port-Au-Prince and a recent graduate from a New York top Medical School, returned home to a shocking arranged marriage proposal to a spoiled Mulatto scion of a major business conglomerate named RAMOX. While raising the economic profile of the Christian-Arab community, a generation later, the financial goals of the arranged marriage have nothing to show for the Mulatto community but financial ruin and political exile. The same financial goals will drive the unlikely pair to follow shallow paths of adulterous compromising that answer only to the power of money. The same paths will betray and crush a lot of innocent people, including close relatives. The emotional and social damages inflicted by the dubious matrimonial union will send the pair packing away from their own devoted family centers, and the talented now Medical Doctor to the isolation retreat of Port Salut resort, preferably in the morning.

-To be completed in 2022, a sequel to “KANY RISING”, a narrative, in progress, of more than 400 pages titled “CURSE OF KANY”. This sequel shows that extraordinary and phenomenal Kany applications have established Mezi as a shining star of an emerging Africa in every way possible. The country economic development has accelerated and advanced to a point where people throughout the continent are begging for the expansion of Kany applications in more adjoining territories and countries leading slowly to a growing powerful political Federation of African States called FAS. This expansion would unfortunately generate the envy of other countries and far away major economic powers, which will precipitate the descent to major conflicts, war and catastrophe. A three-year devastating war will end after a protracted diplomatic ballet leading to a new enduring peaceful settlement and the rapid reconstruction of Mezi and FAS.
