Our founder, Uwe Stender,Ph.D, is a Full Member of the AAR (Association of Authors' Representatives).
Dana L. Davis, Whitney Gardner, Sayantani DasGupta, Jared Reck, Laura Weymouth,Christi Paul,Eric Deggans, Natasha Suri, Elizabeth LaBan, Kate Hattemer, Stacy Tornio, Blair Thornburgh, Cynthia Ellingsen.
We are always open to any strong fiction (our current focus in fiction is Mysteries/Thrillers, Psychological Suspense, YA, MG, and PB) and all non-fiction projects.
Founder and President Dr. Uwe Stender is a Full Member of the AAR (Association of Authors' Representatives). He is interested in all kinds of non-fiction and fiction. In non-fiction, he is completely open to any project, from Memoir, Pop Culture, and Health to How-to, Gardening, History and everything in between, including non-fiction for children. In Children's fiction, he is looking for YA, and MG. In adult fiction, his tastes trend towards Women's Fiction, Psychological Suspense, and Mysteries. As an immigrant to the USA himself, he is always eager to bring projects from underrepresented voices into the world. So surprise him, his tastes are eclectic, and he may just love what you wrote!
His favorite five novels right now are: Caraval, The Underground Railroad, Der Nasse Fisch, Kafka On The Shore, The Young Elites, and Wonder.
Literary Agent Brent Taylor's tastes are eclectic, but all of his favorite novels are similar in that they tend to have fresh voice and fantastic writing.
He is seeking smart, fun, and exciting books in the following categories: middle grade, young adult, women's fiction, literary fiction, and crime fiction. His favorite books include: The Time Traveler's Wife, White Oleander, The Vast Fields of Ordinary, Please Ignore Vera Dietz, and The Westing Game.
Associate Literary Agent Laura Crockett is interested in a variety of YA and adult fiction.
In YA, she is interested in contemporary realistic fiction (such as study abroad experiences, strong female friendships, falling in love, mental health, diversity, LGBTQ) and fantasy (particularly with excellent world-building, authentic characterization, fantasy inspired by fairytales and other cultures' mythology, and historical fantasy). Some favorite titles include Fangirl, The Lie Tree, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, All the Bright Places, Shadowfell, When We Collided, Anna and the French Kiss, A Shadow Bright and Burning, The Star-Touched Queen, and The Winner's Curse.
In adult fiction, she is interested in contemporary women's fiction (heartfelt, juicy moral dilemmas, historical bends with parallel narratives), humorous chick-lit (especially if it's millennial-driven), and fantasy (excellent world-building, authentic characterization, fantasy inspired by fairytales and other cultures' mythology, and historical fantasy). Some favorite titles include The Night Circus, Outlander, The Queen of Blood, Daughter of the Forest, The Winter Witch, The Hating Game, and authors like Jodi Picoult, Kate Morton, Gayle Forman, and Sophie Kinsella.
Associate Literary Agent Lauren Spieller comes to TriadaUS with a background in literary scouting and editorial consulting. She has a sharp editorial eye, and is passionate about author advocacy. Lauren is seeking Middle Grade and Young Adult fiction, as well as select Adult fiction and non-fiction. Whatever the age category or genre, Lauren is passionate about finding diverse and underrepresented voices.
In MG, she’s drawn to heartfelt contemporaries, contemporary fantasy and magical realism, and exciting adventures. Some of her recent favorites are Rules for Stealing Stars, George, The Thing About Jellyfish, Wonder, Hour of the Bees, and Rooftoppers. In YA, she’d love to find authentic teen voices in any and all genres. She is especially fond of fantasy, magical realism, and space operas; contemporary stories with a hook; and anything with a feminist bent. A few favorites include Dumplin’, Scorpio Races, An Ember in the Ashes, OCD Love Story, Six of Crows, The Raven Boys, and Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda.
In Adult, Lauren is seeking commercial fiction, particularly female-driven psychological thrillers (a la Lauren Beukes and Gillian Flynn), and immersive literary fantasies, such as The Night Circus, The Miniaturist, and A Darker Shade of Magic. She is also interested in female-driven Upmarket General Fiction, especially if it's funny or has a touch of magical realism (note that she is NOT looking for Romance), and unique non-fiction with an existing platform. She's particularly hungry for counter culture books, cocktail books with a twist/theme, or narrative nonfiction with a unique hook (if you’re the next Lindsey West, Roxanne Gay, or Lauren Duca, she wants to hear from you).
Literary Agent Assistant Amelia Appel joined Triada after previously assisting at McIntosh & Otis, Inc. and Writers House. She is seeking adult fiction, non-fiction, and occasional YA.
For adult fiction, she is most interested in literary fiction, mystery, thriller, upmarket women's fiction, science fiction and fantasy, and horror. Projects with a smart, distinct voice, a fantastic setting to jump into, and/or a witty protagonist are all up her alley. She is not looking for romance novels.
For adult non-fiction, she is primarily looking for creative non-fiction, humor, sports, how-to, pop culture, and true crime. She is not looking to represent memoir.
For YA, she is particularly interested in stories with a savvy protagonist and a slightly dark tone that deal with serious coming-of-age issues well.
Please send an email with QUERY and the manuscript title in the email's subject line. In the body of the email, please paste your query letter, the first ten pages of the manuscript, a full synopsis, and an author bio.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
|
 |
|
We prefer to receive queries via email. Paste your query into the body of the email. We will not download attachments unless we request them.
We do not respond to postal submissions that aren't accompanied by a SASE and will not return any material unless a SASE accompanies the submission. Additionally, because of new postal regulations, we cannot use metered mail for returns. All self-addressed envelopes must include stamps. If you send a snail mail query, please, send it to:
Dr. Uwe Stender
Triada US Literary Agency
P.O. Box 561
Sewickley, PA 15143
If we haven't responded after two weeks, we have not received your query.
If one of us rejects your query, do not query the other agents at Triada. If we think that it would appeal to one of our colleagues, we will share it with them and they will be in touch with you.
We strive to keep our response time one of the fastest in the industry. On average, we respond to submissions in one week.
Many agencies can take several months to respond to even solicited submissions. We will respond promptly. If you do not hear from us within two weeks, we did not receive your query. We also encourage you to check with us regularly via email about the progress of your submission.
Lastly, if we request a full manuscript and ultimately decide to reject it, we will explain to you our reasons for doing so.
**Because of the large volume of submissions that we receive, we will only respond to those that follow the above guidelines. Submissions made that do not follow our protocol will be discarded.**
