I am an award-winning journalist and author who prides myself on my professionalism, resourcefulness, and keen editor's eye. I understand the impact of words and creative problem-solving to meet clients' needs in their authentic voice and brand. I specialize in translating complex issues into powerful and clear language without any "dumbing down," especially when it comes to science and health.
As a journalist for major US news outlets including The Washington Post, Boston Globe, and Miami Herald, I've covered everything from elections, education, and parenting to plane crashes, hurricanes, and neuroscience. A two-time Pulitzer Prize team member, I was a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and also co-authored a memoir (Little, Brown & Co.) published in five countries and dubbed “A Tome of the Brave" by Oprah's O Magazine.
Memberships include the Society of Professional Journalists, Society of Environmental Journalists, American Society of Journalists and Authors, and the Ghostwriters Association.
