Oghma Creative Media

Oghma Creative Media is an award-winning traditional independent publisher who considers our authors business partners in long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. Our focus is on quality, professionalism, and growth among both our authors and our company as a whole. We are not a vanity press, subsidy, or hybrid publisher. We incur all costs of publishing and distribution and pay our authors royalties based on net receipts of their books from the very first sale. We release an average of between fifty and sixty books a year.

Our publishing operation is composed of three distinct divisions: The Oghma Press, publishing genre fiction of all types; Young Dragons Press, dedicated to Children's Picture Books, Middle Grade, and Young Adult fiction and nonfiction; and Arbroath Abbey Press, producing nonfiction titles on widely-varying subjects. We also publish SADDLEBAG DISPATCHES, an award-winning semi-annual magazine dedicated to Western fiction, events, and history. Typically, our new releases hit the market in hardcover, trade paperback, eBook (through all major eBook retailers), and audiobook. All of our titles are available at full trade discounts through Ingram distribution and are returnable. Our mission revolves around producing the best possible publications, and we work hard to accomplish this goal on every project. We have multiple professional editors on staff who focus on different levels of the editorial process, from story and character development to copy-editing, expert content review, and galley proofing; experienced in-house graphic designers and illustrators turning out some of the best covers and illustrations in the industry; and a motivated marketing staff with certifications in both traditional and social media marketing.

Authors from the Oghma publishing family have won multiple national awards, including the Independent Book Publishers of America Benjamin Franklin Award; the Will Rogers Medallion; the Western Writers of America Spur Award; the Western Fictioneers Peacemaker Award; and the Oklahoma Book Award.
