Julia Pastore is an editor and writer with over 20 years of senior editorial experience at major and independent publishing houses, including HarperOne (an imprint of HarperCollins), Crown Archetype/Harmony Books, and St. Martin’s Press. Her list includes multiple New York Times bestsellers by authors including Deepak Chopra, Daniel Amen, Cesar Millan, Meredith Baxter, and Pattie Boyd.
At Julia Pastore Editorial Services, a full-service boutique nonfiction editorial and writing services firm, she works with literary agents whose clients need a little extra help before submission to a publishing house, publishing houses who need a ghostwriter or outside editor to further strengthen a manuscript before publication, and writers at every stage of the writing and publication process. Attracted to thought leaders who believe positive change is always possible, Julia appreciates strong-voiced prescriptive and narrative nonfiction that informs and inspires in the categories of health and wellness, diet and fitness, self-help, relationships, personal transformation, pets, and memoir.
She is on the faculty of the Columbia Publishing Course Book Workshop and lives in Brooklyn, NY.

“I just finished writing my first book, and what better hands to be in than Julia’s. She understood my voice and message from the very beginning. Her guidance, creative direction, and editing helped to create a powerful, concise, and easy to read manuscript. She was mentor and guide through the entire writing process—truly a first time author’s dream come true!”
—Amy Medling, author of Healing PCOS and founder, PCOS Diva
“Julia was the Executive Editor working on my health-cum-cookbook Cooking for Hormone Balance. As a first-time author, the project felt intimidating. Julia has not only made the process easy but also inspiring and encouraging. Her guidance has made me a better writer, researcher, and presenter. She is both strategic and has attention to details which is a rare quality. If you are committed to birthing a top-notch book, Julia is the person to work with.”
—Magdalena Wszelaki, author of Cooking for Hormone Balance and founder, Hormones & Balance
“I worked with Julia for my second book, Yes, You Can Get Pregnant (which has been an amazon bestseller for over a year!). Her insight, expertise, and creativity truly brought my words to life. Julia's passion for her projects is palpable and working with her was seamless.”
—Aimee E. Raupp, MS, LAc, author of Yes, You Can Get Pregnant and Body Belief
