I'm primarily interested a range of serious non-fiction: history, biography, nature, travel, business, science, cultural studies. What I'd like to see in particular are authors with demonstrated expertise in their field who write in a way that makes complex, intriguing, sophisticated concepts accessible. I like to see big ideas and arguments woven into compelling narratives.
I work with writers and academics whose work is deep and inspired and who are looking to expand their audience. I also work with the humorist or comedian who's got an established platform and a weird, singular voice.
I started in publishing as an intern at Writers House and Maria Carvainis Agency. Prior to that, I worked as an educator in Brooklyn, NY.
