Isa Arsén is a native of Virginia based in Austin, TX, where she eats, climbs, wrangles works-in-progress, and has a penchant for giving queer protags the satisfying endings they've deserved for a long time set against the larger-than-life worlds of her characters' innermost longing.
Her latest novella is a summer-sticky fabulist murder ballad, Holy Bones. Her human-meets-android story Burn-In has been featured in the fiction anthology Throbbing Tales, and she has also developed a playable interactive short story titled Pygmalion Lied about one woman's reckoning with love, loss, and sculptures.
Outside of writing, Isa records and mixes music and sound effects for various media. When not hunkered down at her desk with a very small dog curled up in her lap, she can be found covered in chalk at the climbing crag, stomping away on a flamenco stage, or buried in a damn good book.
