Since ‘Holly and the Nobodies,’ I have completed two full manuscripts. Both supernatural/occult horror.
1. Carve Your Soul to Pieces
Words: 74,000
Summary:
When Danny Rader’s little sister Ana is kidnapped on her first day of school by what could only be described as a demon, he and his friends Rosa and Gabe are determined to do whatever it takes to get her back.
Delving into the dirty underworld of Glaverston City, they meet an eccentric Witchdoctor named Bloody Bill, who draws them deeper into a world of dark magic, demons and hellscapes.
The waters go deeper than they could ever have imagined, and soon The King of Liars is stretching his long arms through Glaverston itself, turning the citizens blind to his evil doings and stealing innocent souls like Ana’s. The three friends are faced with impossible darkness, and must sacrifice everything to prevail.
2. Hate for the Living
Words: 112,000
Summary:
Dean Dryden, haunted by the ghost of his dead brother, arrives in Port Barker just after the mysterious deaths of several residents. One of the witnesses to the horror, high schooler Steph Monk, enlists his help, along with that of the quirky librarian Arlene and the gruff ex sailor Novinski, to uncover the truth about the ghosts that plague the town.
Along the way, the unlikely friends learn of a terrible past, a murderer come back from the dead, and the ghosts of his young victims, out for revenge – not just on him, but on the whole town.
Together, they struggle with ghosts, occult magic, and their own personal demons, in an effort to appease the wrath of the dead and save their lives and all those of Port Barker.
