I write horror novels and short stories. My favourite kind have a strong supernatural element, interesting characters with rich internal worlds, and a dark, creepy atmosphere. The creepier the better. In terms of style I like clarity and storytelling rather than beautiful prose, and I like a spark of hope rather than pure dread. My top five books of all time are Coraline, IT, The Fisherman, Between Two fires, and Shutter Island, and these are a good representation of what I aspire to create.

Peeping Eyes and Lipless Mouths: A collection of horror stories from the past several years. Some are reprints: both the title story and ‘Screams for Stargirl’ were previously published in different issues of Dark Moon Digest.

My Debut Novel ‘Holly and the Nobodies’ (Hellbound Books) won the Aurealis Award for ‘Best Horror Novel’ in 2022.

Since ‘Holly and the Nobodies,’ I have completed two full manuscripts. Both supernatural/occult horror.
