Claire Roberts has been a publishing professional for 24 years, with 19 years of experience in UK and foreign rights. She is now building a list of clients whose work she will agent in both the US as well as in the international markets. Her focus is on upmarket and literary fiction, upmarket crime fiction and narrative non-fiction.
Until recently Claire headed up the Foreign Rights department of Trident Media Group, developing the strategies to put Trident at the forefront of international sales among literary agencies. She is now developing a list of her own clients whose work she will agent in both the US as well as in the international markets.
Before joining TMG Claire oversaw the foreign rights program for Doubleday and Broadway Books, both imprints of Random House US. Prior to that she managed foreign rights for William Morrow and Avon Books, and for the trade books division of Harcourt Brace, now a part of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Claire graduated from Brown University with a B.A. magna cum laude in Comparative Literature and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
