The Lithuanian-born American writer, Gediminas (Ed) Trimakas, writing as Holland Kane is the author of the novels Deer Creek, Winter Reeds and Morning Light. He spent his childhood in Europe and his teenage years in Brooklyn, New York City. After serving with distinction in the US Army Signal Corps, he prospered as an entrepreneur. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in fiction from the University of Arizona, and a MBA in finance from Seattle University. As the nonfiction editor of the Sonora Review he published prose by the United States poet laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner Maxine Kumin.
