Tara started her publishing career at Scholastic Inc. working on well-known licenses and brands such as The Baby-Sitters Club, Goosebumps, The Adventures of Captain Underpants, The Magic School Bus, and Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Her branding experience led her to Disney Publishing Worldwide where she helped launch major brand book initiatives such as Disney Fairies, Tinkerbell, and Disney Princess. While there she worked also with Hyperion Books crafting strategies for high-profile authors such as Maurice Sendak, Robert F. Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, and Julie Andrews. She supervised marketing and publicity launches on original fiction including works such as Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series and Eoin Colfer’s Artemis Fowl.
Having moved on to start her own market analysis and editing business and seeing a need, Tara has used her broad experience and qualifications to help authors and publishers refine their book content through editing and proofreading, craft top-notch marketing and publicity plans and materials, and write amazing book proposals.
Tara’s experience and relationships has helped make good books great. She feels it is a special victory to help authors in their pursuit to become published and reach readers everywhere with an amazing product and a lasting reading experience.
