Art. Patience. Strategy.

My passion as an agent is strategizing profitable long-term careers for my authors. I want my clients to love the books they write and make money writing them. Crafting that kind of balance between artistic and commercial success takes communication, teamwork and a focus on "Art. Patience. Strategy."

In terms of personality, I tend to be chatty with clients. In my experience, setting clear expectations and explaining publishing processes helps authors focus on their writing. So, I communicate regularly and keep my client list small enough to support each author effectively.

I represent authors who write middle grade novels (all sub-genres), young adult novels (all sub-genres), romance novels (all sub-genres) and science fiction/fantasy novels for the adult market. Please no picture books, memoir, commercial fiction or mystery. A book must be 100% complete and never previously published in order to query but as long as it meets these requirements, bring it on! I read all queries myself and am actively acquiring. My query email address is and my turn around time is 5-14 days.

I try to answer professional questions as time allows on twitter @SaraMegibow
