Monkfish Book Publishing Company, LLC publishes spiritual and literary titles. Genres range from traditional ‘wisdom literature’ such as The Lankavatara Sutra , translated by DT Suzuki, to commercial fiction such as The Mind Parasites by Colin Wilson (The Outsider). Monkfish also publishes the imprint Provenance Editions, which updates older classics such as Rabindranath Tagore’s The Religion of Man and Gerald Heard’s Pain, Sex and Time. Monkfish books appeal to the seasoned or novice seeker as well as to the general public looking for reliable sources on spirituality.
Monkfish’s eclectic mixture of “upmarket” spirituality books have been widely reviewed in mainstream media such as The Washington Post, The Boston Globe and The Atlanta-Journal Constitution; in the publishing trade media such as Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and ForeWord Magazine; and in the spirituality media such as Yoga Journal, Parabola and Beliefnet.
