Nancy McGuire Roche holds a Ph.D. in English with Concentrations in Film Studies and American Literature from Middle Tennessee State University, an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Brown University, and a B.S. degree from Vanderbilt University. She has been a university professor for two decades, teaching literature and poetry at Vanderbilt University, and most recently, film studies in the department of Cinema, Television & Media at Belmont University, including: Art of Storytelling and Adaptation.
Her publications include “H.D.’s Crucible of Fire”, Jacket Magazine, “The San Francisco Bay Area Poets”, LGBTQ America Today: an encyclopedia, book chapters in Modern American Drama on Screen (Cambridge University Press) and The Other Hollywood Renaissance (Edinburgh University Press), and the book Conversations with Edmund White from University Press of Mississippi. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
