This writer is looking for an agent.
I am currently seeking representation for two completed novels.
My third novel, A Giraffe Thing, would sit well in Commercial Women’s Fiction.
Louise is just fourteen when she meets Martin who’s seventeen. It’s love at first sight for Martin, but Louise doesn’t fall in love with him until she’s twenty-eight. And married. A Giraffe Thing is a fifty-year-old woman’s, often painful, recollection of love, loss and regret, set against a backdrop of a dysfunctional family whose members seem to have adultery in their genes.
My fourth novel, The Write Way to Die, is a departure into the genre of crime, but with black humour and grisly murder in equal measure.
The story is of a writing group who set out to pen the perfect murders. For one of the group, life imitates art as he becomes his serial killer ‘The Exhibitionist’, and displays his victims as art installations around the town. This book is set largely in the current Corona lockdown, the story of which runs in the background.
My first two novels, Lucy Shaw’s Not Sure and Lucy Shaw Wants More, were published by The Conrad Press, and readers said they related strongly to my female lead. I am incredibly grateful to James Essinger for giving me my start, and I have his blessing to seek representation elsewhere.
