Specialist in all areas of the children's market, from picture book to young adult.
I'm a book editor with forty-eight years in the business, twenty of them on staff at Delacorte/Dell Yearling, Random House, Avon Books and Bantam Books, and now freelance, hired by publishers and by writers directly.
I've created or edited a number of middle-grade and YA series over the years and advise on the process from first idea to roll-out and marketing. I edit, rewrite, and ghostwrite as needed.
I offer a “body of work” consultation: show me anything that hasn’t sold or that you're stuck on and I’ll tell you what’s working, what isn’t working, and will help you get the material into shape for submission or for self-publishing.
I help you create the proposal or pitch I would have liked to receive while on staff.
