Prior to founding February Media, Gretchen Crary was Publicity Director at HarperCollins where she worked for both the Harper imprint and the Collins imprint. She has been conducting high profile publicity campaigns for books and authors for over 15 years.
Before her publishing career, Gretchen Crary was an award-winning television producer for the programs Frontline, for 60 Minutes, and for Peter Jennings/ABC News. She has an Emmy and a DuPont Gold Baton for her work with Frontline.
She has built many fiction and non-fiction bestsellers including Three Seconds by Roslund & Hellstrom, Cyber War by Richard Clarke, The Sellout by Charles Gasparino, Conquest of the Useless by Werner Herzog, and Alex and Me by Dr. Irene Pepperberg.
She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University and also holds a Masters degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She lives in Brooklyn.
