Established in 1977 by its eponymous founder, Harvey Klinger, Inc. has been among the leading literary agencies in adult and children's books. Our interests cross many fields in fiction, non-fiction, middle grade and young adult fiction by new and established authors. We are always on the lookout for tremendous new voices of talent in fiction and in adult non-fiction, individuals of proven stature in their respective fields who have established strong platforms for publicity and marketing that will attract the attention and interest of the major publishers.

After five years at a New York boutique agency where I successfully placed Young Adult to Adult Romance while helping cultivate authors' careers, I joined Harvey Klinger, Inc. where I will specialize in Historical, whether in Middle Grade and Young Adult, Women's Fiction or Romance, or nonfiction. I am particularly drawn to oft-forgotten stories of the past and underrepresented voices, and especially personal to me is unexplored Southern culture and history. In fiction, I look for character-driven stories, a stellar voice, and fresh, intriguing plots. I am drawn to high-concept and commercial fiction, but a stand-out, lyrical voice in literary fiction will also hook me.
