Quarto is currently recruiting a creative, experienced, results-driven, and dynamic Sales Director for our Chartwell imprint and Custom, Proprietary and Value Publishing programs. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with a diverse and global customer base and markets while increasing sales and collaborating with various imprints across the Quarto company.
This role is diverse, exciting, and dynamic encompassing the ability to not only sell but be immersed in the creativity and ideation of a wide range of titles and genres from Books plus and Kits, Adult Coloring, Guided Workbooks, Self-Care, Well Being, Cooking, and more.
Key Results Areas
Managing and growing existing accounts across a diverse spectrum of markets.
Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with key customers and develop new markets for our books.
working closely with customers to create and ideate new products.
Working closely with the Editorial, Design and Production teams across Quarto to bring customer product needs to fruition.
on growth strategies and regularly reporting on progress.
Developing new sales opportunities and leading project management for titles in all imprints through custom, proprietary, and value sales.
Building P&L statements to inform business decisions and achieve maximum margin.
Weekly forecasting.
Overseeing order management and fulfillment.
Curating and pitching account appropriate title lists for customers.
Creating and delivering regular account presentations and handling day-to-day account business.
Providing consistent, persistent, and progressive follow-up on new business.
Keeping apprised of trends and styles in consumer products.
Learning and regularly utilizing Quarto's internal systems for asset management, title data, and sales reporting.
Participating in interdepartmental meetings and providing perspective to the direction of overall publishing for custom, proprietary and value.
Collaborating internally with multiple departments to help execute sales and influence future title creation.
Managing sales goals and sales budgets.
Communicating with management regarding account activities.
Analyze sales data as it pertains to budgets and create strategies to maximize the sales within these budgets.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Ability to work with customers to create consumer driven titles and products that are positioned to sell.

Must have proven track record of success and possess exceptional leadership, ethical, and analytical skills.
Superior organizational skills and follow through.
Work independently and in a team environment.
Persuasive and sales driven, outgoing personality.
Some Travel required to International Book Fairs and customer meetings.
MS Office, BOX and systems familiarity.
Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint
Flexible, willing to learn and takes ownership of work.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
7 -9 years publishing sales management experience
Value Book publishing experience a plus, but not a prerequisite.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000, based on experience.
