Fortier Public Relations' 30+ person book publicity team is growing and seeking an Assistant or Associate Director of Publicity (title based on relevant years of experience) to independently lead business and nonfiction book projects from leading publishers like Random House, Simon & Schuster, and HarperCollins. Minimum five years of PR experience.
For over sixteen years, FPR has represented Pulitzer Prize winners, 200 books on the bestseller list including 68 in the last two years, 21 #1 bestsellers, and books by 33 of the Thinkers50 list of the world’s leading business thinkers. Over the past year, we've worked on Adrift by Scott Galloway, Bittersweet by Susan Cain, Chatter by Ethan Kross, What We Owe the Future by Will MacAskill, When Women Lead by CNBC’s Julia Boorstin and Good Power by Ginni Rometty. Our award winning campaigns have been noted by NPR, Newsday, The New York Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Publishers Weekly and PRWeek.
Qualifications: Results-hungry, relationship-oriented, energetic, organized, with a proven track record of booking media and running campaigns successfully. Business book experience is a plus.
Candidates must have good connections and access to media outlets and be skilled at crystallizing a book’s message in tight oral and written communication..
