Cookbook and lifestyle publisher, Page Street Publishing Co., distributed by Macmillan, is looking for a bright, detail oriented, entry-level assistant production editor. This person will help with proofing and reviewing designed manuscripts, checking printer proofs, and checking changes.

The right candidate should be detail oriented and have strong proofreading skills. Interest in cooking and/or other lifestyle topics would be a plus but not essential, as well as work in a bookstore, library or other ventures involving books should be noted, but will not be considered a competitive advantage to be fair to candidates who have not had the access or financial privilege to take on this form of work. The salary is $33,000 annually, with yearly reviews. Employees will work a four day work week Monday-Thursday. Benefits include 80% of healthcare policy coverage and a healthy personal time off policy. Candidates may be remote, though ideally in the Eastern time zone.
