Requirements:
The Harper Group, a division of HarperCollins Publishers, is seeking a creative and energetic individual to join the marketing team as a Marketing Manager. This marketing team works on the Harper hardcover and Broadside Books imprints, which publish a range of award-winning and bestselling books in the following genres: literary fiction, thrillers, and nonfiction including memoir, history, and politics. The Marketing Manager works closely with the VP of the department and an Associate Director of Marketing to create and execute title marketing campaigns and provide departmental support.

Responsibilities:
-Creates and executes marketing plans for titles under minimal supervision.
-Presents plans in meetings with sales, editors, authors, agents, and the publisher.
-Works with authors on their social media platforms, creating campaigns, timelines, assets, pre-order incentives, etc. for the ramp-up to publication.
-Contributes to imprint social media accounts.
-Secures title specific as well as imprint-wide cross promotional partnerships with third party brands and corporations.
-Liaises with publicity, editorial, ad/promo and sales on AREs, galleys, and all collateral material needed for reps, booksellers, and consumers.
-Serves as a team leader on digital advertising best practices and assists with departmental ad booking and management.

Qualifications:
-Minimum 5+ years of publishing experience required; marketing experience preferred
-College degree or equivalent work experience
-Strong knowledge of social media and digital platforms (e.g., Facebook, Shortstack, Email deployment, Canva, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok)
-A capable and clear presenter in group and one-on-one situations
-Ability to work collaboratively
-A motivated self-starter with a love for books
-Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
-Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
