Penguin Random House is seeking an Assistant Director for licensed and graphic books at Ten Speed Press and Clarkson Potter. Reporting to the VP, Director of Publicity for Ten Speed Press and Clarkson Potter, this position provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in a creative and collaborative environment.
This role will work in tandem with Marketing and Editorial teams on key players in the licensed and graphic space including Dungeons and Dragons, The Witcher, Stranger Things, Ibram X. Kendi, Timothy Snyder, Camilla d’Errico, The New York Times and more.

Specific responsibilities include:
* Oversee and manage the media-related elements of our growing portfolio of licensed and graphic books
* Continue to build and maintain key relationships with media; establish and nurture long-running partner relationships that span multiple books over multiple imprints
* Pitch our books and authors for features, reviews, and gift guides
* Identify and pursue new media opportunities
* Manage brand growth in the media space
* Attend weekly and biweekly meetings with various partners
* Attend both virtual and in-person events, including conventions

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
* Minimum of 5+ years of public relations experience working on either licensed and/or graphic books
* Enthusiasm for books and pop culture brands in the film, tv, gaming and comic space
* Strong relationships with national and regional media contacts
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to work seamlessly in a team
* Proven ability to set priorities, managing multiple projects across seasons
* Excellent attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Interest in attending consumer conventions, such as Comic Con in San Diego, New York, and/or Seattle

The salary range for this position is $79,000-$87,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
