Position Profile

Bloomsbury is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Academic Marketing department to manage the marketing efforts for our titles published in Music & Sound Studies (including the flagship 33 1/3 series), Politics & International Relations and Education.

Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in publishing, preferably with experience marketing scholarly and academic titles. This role requires someone who is organized, creative, and experienced in digital marketing (email, social media, etc.).

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

- Be experienced in creating engaging email marketing campaigns directed at an academic audience.
- Work closely with sales and editorial colleagues to achieve sales growth
- Gather and analyze data to improve marketing campaigns, and feedback to sales and editorial colleagues to provide US market insight
- Project manage the design of promotional materials, such as catalogs and brochures
- Plan and execute social media strategies, including Twitter, Facebook, and relevant blogs

Qualifications/Skills:

- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Organizational skills/ability to multi-task
- Adaptability
- Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation programs useful
- Copywriting
- Ability to travel several times per year
