What we are looking for:

As a Print Production Coordinator Assistant on our Production Team you will play a key role in print estimate generation and purchase order creation for the manufacturing of our diverse portfolio of books, that includes classic literature, children’s, crafts, adult coloring, math, music, and more.

How you’ll make a difference:

• Reports to Production Manager and works closely with sales, editorial, and customer service.
• Runs reports with historical data to inform print decisions and action plans.
• Matches print job specs with the print locations that can meet delivery requirements and offer best price options.
• Enters print job specs into pricing systems software to build pricing scenarios.
• Creates print purchase orders.
• Tracks open purchase orders and follows up on late deliveries.
• Generates weekly backlist reprint status report.
• Initiates warehouse work orders for various displays and promotions.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Your experience and expertise:

• 2+ years relevant work experience in a manufacturing (publishing or book manufacturing a plus) or office environment complimentary to the duties of the job.
• Requires knowledge of general administrative/manufacturing operations procedures and knowledge of job-specific processes.
• Computer proficiency including MS Word, MS Excel, and other task-specific software.
• Demonstrable time-management and organizational skills, and appreciation for detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain departmental policy, methods and/or procedures.
• Must have the ability to plan ahead and juggle priorities across multiple projects with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Confidence with independent work and as part of a larger collective with common goals.
• Able to follow company policy and understand processes governing the work being completed
