We are looking for a creative, organized, and energetic marketing associate to create and execute plans that promote our books to their best advantage. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, creative, and will be able to multi-task and manage a multitude of projects as part of a dynamic team.


Brainstorm, write, and execute marketing plans for chapter book titles and series

Write copy for creative jobs including advertisements, social media, and website content

Strategize and follow-up on online presence for key titles, including websites and social media campaigns

Communicate marketing updates to sales, editorial, cross-channel partners, agents, and authors as needed

Facilitate the creation of promotional materials, advertisements, videos, social media, websites, and all marketing assets related to assigned titles

Collaborate with Scholastic Book Fairs and Book Clubs on cross-channel promotional opportunities.

Partner with Senior Marketing Manager on key lead brands such as I Survived, The Bad Guys, and The Baby-sitters Club

Maintain awareness of the chapter book market and suggest new and innovative ways to market titles to kids, parents, and booksellers​

HOW YOU CAN FIT (Qualifications)

Experience in publishing field and/or marketing a plus

Experience developing social media and digital content

Excellent communication skills (oral & written), good judgment, and excellent interpersonal skills

Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task with all administrative duties

Bachelor’s degree, proficient in Microsoft Office, social media knowledge and skills
