Chronicle Books is looking for an Ecommerce Senior Manager who will have direct accountability for managing and driving growth on Amazon. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management, support, and execution of activities required to maintain, grow, and deliver sales targets and related KPIs. They will execute marketing strategies, competitive analysis, and keyword research for all product categories on Amazon. Working closely with the Executive Director, Marketing & Ecommerce, the Senior Manager will develop and implement Ecommerce plans that will be integral to Chronicle Book’s goal to drive growth in revenue and market share. As a cross-functional leader, adaptability, problem-solving, and collaboration are a must.

The Ecommerce Senior Manager will deliver financial and marketplace objectives, they will oversee the partnership with Amazon Strategic Account Services (SAS), and they will implement best-in-class marketing plans. In addition, the person in this position will strategize using promotional planning calendars, they will ensure new product comps are tracked and provided by the due date, and they will monitor and identify new Amazon program opportunities. Overseeing content creation and optimization, monitoring the daily performance of key collections, and evaluating sales strategy effectiveness will round out this role. The Ecommerce Senior Manager will also manage a team of 1-2 direct reports.

A minimum of 7 years of experience managing Amazon accounts, optimizing direct-to-consumer funnels, and understanding Amazon best practices/eCommerce principles will be required. This position demands a strategic thinker who is extremely organized, detail-oriented, and who can collaborate and influence across groups. Problem-solving, process streamlining, project planning, and organizational needs assessment will also be required in this role. Effective and flexible communication skills are a must along with experience managing and developing talent.

While this is currently a remote position, the expectation is that this San Francisco-based role will eventually move back in-house when it is safe to do so.
