Requirements:
Weiser Books (an imprint of Red Wheel/Weiser) is seeking an experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic marketer to join our team with the primary goals of growing sales, increasing engagement around Weiser content, and expanding the recognition of the Weiser Books publishing mission. We are looking for candidates who have a clear track-record of creating and implementing data-informed marketing campaigns.

Our offices are based in Newburyport, Mass., north of Boston. For the right candidate, a remote work environment is a possibility.

The Weiser Books Marketing Manager will, in coordination with Associate Publisher:

• Plan and execute cohesive and innovative marketing campaigns for new and backlist titles in coordination with authors and the editorial and sales teams
• Work with authors to maximize campaign effectiveness, including helping to grow social media platforms, brainstorming, and pitching potential partnerships
• Set measurable goals for all marketing activities
• Distill ongoing marketing data into clear and actionable insights and reports that inform plans and priorities
• Manage and monitor all Weiser social media accounts, including posting, creating and reporting on ad campaigns, influencer outreach
• Develop repeatable digital marketing campaign strategies for driving pre-orders and building on success of fast-moving titles
• Identify and conduct outreach to potential physical/digital partners (influencers, networks, organizations, events, etc.)
• Create front list and revise backlist metadata for SEO
• Coordinate with VP, Business Development integrating marketing plans with Amazon and Google advertising campaigns
• Proactively participate in all relevant meetings.
• Continually research new marketing tools, platforms, and strategies
• Track all marketing expenses; manage and report on department budget

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of social media marketing
• Well-versed in performance benchmarks and relevant KPIs
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a passion for and fluency with data and analytics
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Fluent in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Ability to write and edit compelling copy that resonates with intended audiences
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for interacting with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Genuine interest and knowledge of book publishing and the mission of Weiser Books
• Minimum 4 years prior related experience in publishing and/or marketing

Preferred Candidates Will Have:

• Experience managing email marketing campaigns
• Working knowledge of basic HTML and Adobe Creative Suite
• Photography and video skills
• Experience working with Asana or other similar project management platforms

Education
• Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent experience and training.
