Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to work on our adult fiction list, with emphasis on mysteries, thrillers, historical fiction, and contemporary fiction. The Marketing Coordinator will work directly with the Marketing Manager on creating and implementing robust marketing, publicity, and social campaigns that drive both frontlist and backlist sales. The Marketing Coordinator will also assist the Executive Director for Marketing, Fiction as needed.

You can work out of our office in New York City or Naperville, IL. This position can be fully remote (in select states) through Labor Day.


Generating and coordinating innovative and dynamic publicity and marketing campaigns that bring press and influencer attention for your assigned titles

Building relationships with media and influencers

Creating and implementing social media and email marketing campaigns to drive sales and awareness for adult fiction titles

Working with the Marketing Manager and Executive Director for Marketing, Fiction on creating new opportunities for backlist titles

Assisting in maintaining databases of press, book club, and influencer contacts


Excellent promotional copywriting and communication skills

Working knowledge of social media platforms as leveraged for author and brand promotion

Basic design skills and proficiency with consumer design apps and programs

Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and work flexibly and quickly

Ability to work independently while contributing to department goals

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

Strong organizational skills

BA in Communication, Marketing, Journalism or related course of study

1-2 years experience in publishing, marketing, or public relations
