Little Bee Books is looking for a National Account Manager for all children’s imprints including Little Bee Books, BuzzPop, and Yellow Jacket. We are a children’s book publisher dedicated to making high-quality, creative, and fun books for busy little bees ages 0 through 16. Our National Account Manager will be an experienced, results-driven, and successful sales professional who will provide expertise and management for sales across multiple channels. Extensive experience within the book publishing industry as well as strong relationships with buyers are required. This position is temporarily remote and will be based full-time out of our New York City offices

• Managing and growing an existing base of accounts across multiple sales channels including specialty retail, premium, corporate, and proprietary channels.
• Working closely with the head of sales on growth strategies and regularly reporting on progress.
• Developing new sales opportunities for Little Bee Books, BuzzPop, and Yellow Jacket children’s books.
• Maintaining strong relationships with buyers and collaborating strategically when appropriate.
• Creating and delivering regular account presentations and handling day-to-day account business.
• Providing consistent, persistent, and progressing follow-up on new business.
• Keeping appraised of trends and successes in children’s publishing sales.
• Collaborating internally with multiple departments to help execute sales.
• Managing sales goals and sales operation budgets.

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university preferred, or college course work and knowledge gained through equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years publishing sales experience.
• Children’s publishing sales experience strongly preferred.
• Proven record of new business development and revenue growth.
• Solid foundation of key buying contacts.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to self-start and enthusiastically pursue growth.
• A friendly, courteous, outgoing, and customer service-oriented manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow through and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
• A “can do” attitude and the ability to work quickly and decisively.
• Up to 20% travel required, potentially including international travel.
