AIP Publishing is seeking an Editorial Assistant who will support activities aimed at ensuring the success of the Conference Proceedings program.


Manage the day to day administrative components of journal/conference proceedings management
Perform research and analysis in support of commissioning objectives
Partner with the Senior Manager, Conference Proceedings and support the activities of the proceedings program. This includes a thorough understanding of the program objectives, including material submission, copyright requirements, billing, maintaining up-to-date statistics and contract information for the program
Monitor and track the success of commissioning activities and provide regular reporting and feedback on the status of proposals and contracts
Collaborate closely with internal business units to fulfill the strategic objectives of the journals


Bachelor's degree required, a degree in a physics or related field preferred
Experience using Saleforce preferred
Familiarity with research publication in physics-related journals a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate knowledge of/experience with internet-based scientific communication
Ability to take responsibility, assess complex situations, and work on own initiative

This role will be based in AIP Publishing’s Melville office or NYC Satellite Office and, as such, candidates must have the right to live and work in the United States.
