Book Highlight is currently seeking an Author Marketing Manager to join our fast moving and expanding book marketing and advertising agency.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to level up in their career by taking ownership through devising, creating, and driving the elements and mechanics of book marketing campaigns. You should have a respect and reverence for authors who, as our clients, want to invest in making their book have an impact through smart marketing and hard work. The ability to think about content (existing inside a book and developing it in service of marketing that book) in the context of a holistic omni-channel marketing campaign will be as crucial as the confidence to directly project manage and engage with our high-profile successful clients.

Responsibilities:
+ Work closely with a wide range of our authors and their teams to create and execute a successful promotional strategy that includes web, email, social media, and influencer marketing components.
+ Write marketing copy to enhance a social media post, email, landing page, or product detail page.
+ Advise and partner with authors to strategize on daily and weekly activities that will engage large audiences, drive sales, activate consumer reviews, and enhance and grow the author’s audience.
+ Monitor and track author and social media marketing activity thoroughly and consistently, and analyze metrics and results to gain meaningful insights.
+ Research, engage, develop, and maintain brand, association, conference, corporate, and strategic partnerships for ongoing relationship sales and marketing opportunities on behalf of our clients.
+ Be a part of our client and new business calls to record notes, set action items, and hold all parties accountable to progress, while supporting the team with proposal development and marketing work.

Minimum Requirements:
+ NYC based office (Brooklyn)
+ Minimum 2-4 years of marketing experience
+ Data-Driven: Experience in using data to make informed decisions, tracking performance and KPIs, updating reports/spreadsheets, and analyzing basic data sets
+ Working knowledge of content strategy, organic social media, email, and influencer marketing
+ Strong verbal communication skills with experience in client management or customer service
+ Creative and strong written skills to assist in developing marketing copy
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment, while tracking progress within our project management software
