Penguin Random House Publisher Services is committed to providing the highest level of sales and distribution services to over 50 independent publishers of all sizes across a variety of publishing categories. The Client Operations team plays a critical role in the success of these publishers and the PRHPS business overall.

We are seeking an experienced operations professional to join its Client Operations team as an Associate Director to work with PRHPS’s ever-growing list of Graphic Novel and Manga publishers including clients such as, Dark Horse, IDW, DC Comics and others.

The Associate Director of Client Operations will need to have a passion for Graphic Novels and Manga, a firm understanding of end to end physical supply chain, and a grasp of cross divisional large and small scale project management. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver that will effectively guide people through complex processes and possess the ability to see situations from multiple perspectives.

Additional skills include an understanding of sales methodologies and channels, basic financial reporting and accounting, physical and digital production, and IT systems and data.

In this role, you will:
* Digest complex information and distill into clear and actionable insights that can be shared and explained to both clients and internal constituents.
* Execute end-to-end project management for integration of new client publishers.
* Independently drive an array of projects, both large and small, to create processes, procedures, and standards of work.
* Oversee day-to-day relationships for several client publishers.
* Quickly distill the needs of the client and provide thoughtful, strategic, creative and informed solutions to meet client publisher needs within standard operating procedures.

Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:
* Minimum of 7 years of operations experience; publishing is strongly preferred
* Account management and/or project management experience
* Critical thinking and problem solving
* Exceptional written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills
* Proven ability to build relationships and be a reliable point of contact
* Demonstrated ability to communicate credibly and effectively with people at all levels of an organization
* Ability to receive and deliver feedback in a constructive manner
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
