SUMMARY: The Sales Manager of Client Services will manage sales relationships between HBG and client publishers. This person must have book sales and marketing experience, in addition to being able to manage cross-functional relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for day-to-day management of HBG Distribution Client relationships.
Responsible for communication and flow of information between distribution clients and HBG sales force (to include but not limited to: title information, changes, publicity, estimates, inventory, and sales, particularly as it pertains to the frontlist).
Ensure that HBG sales team receives accurate and correct client information, metadata, marketing collateral, etc. in a timely manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree.
A minimum of 3-5 years of book publishing experience, preferably in sales and/ or marketing.
Should be able to use previous sales experience to advise clients and give immediate feedback.
Must enjoy working with a variety of people and books.
Strong presentation and computer skills are required.
Must be proficient in giving presentations to large groups.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings regardless of audience.
Must be results driven and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed.
Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.
Drives change and innovation by improving work product or process, and challenges established norms where appropriate.
Proven ability to build supportive and constructive relationships within and outside of the organization; takes the lead in inspiring others to work together for mutual benefit.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail.
