Requirements:
Seeking a Higher Ed Sales Representative who will be responsible for selling higher education textbooks to professors throughout designated territory in the US. Additionally, the Sales Representative will:
• Manage and achieving sales targets.
• Maintain and grow relationships and customers to grow sales and achieve targets. Conducting campus visits to meet with academics and deliver presentations when required.
• Work closely with campus bookstores to ensure adopted texts are ordered in time for semester start.
• Identify and develop new relationships with potential customers, ensuring customer needs are understood and selecting appropriate product solutions.
• Work with the Bloomsbury marketing team to ensure key features and benefits of all textbooks are identified and understood in order to be shared with instructors during calls and visits.
• Respond to all examination requests within designated territory. Follow up all exam requests to discuss with instructor.
• Record all replies to exam requests, whether adopted or not.
• Communicate textbook feedback to editors in UK and US.
• Deal with orders, queries from customers and working closely with the distribution center. Reviewing supply chain where possible and making recommendations to the sales operations team.
• Work with schools to encourage inclusive modeling, direct sales to students and other initiatives as identified.
• Maintain and consistently improve product knowledge.
• Sell a range of books and eBooks and will have experience of presenting and managing relationships with senior decision-makers.
Training will be extensive with the Bloomsbury sales, marketing and editorial teams.
• 3+ years of sales experience.
• Self-starter and needs to be a strong team player.
