Macmillan Publishers is looking for a marketing manager to join the Central Digital Marketing team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing campaigns to support our ongoing audience acquisition efforts and promote our books and authors. You should have solid experience with the ins and outs of digital marketing, including audience research, copy writing, creating marketing plans, setting up and optimizing digital ad campaigns, as well as setting up tracking and analyzing results.

The Central Digital Marketing team takes a lead role in developing strategy and best practices for different marketing channels, and as such you must feel comfortable researching and suggesting new approaches, analyzing results, and developing and communicating recommendations.

You will need to have a sincere interest in digital marketing, highly analytical, and detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are a must, as you will be working closely with the marketing teams of eight publishers and several community sites, and will be managing multiple projects.

Major Responsibilities:

Develop and execute marketing/ad campaigns, including audience research, copywriting, A/B testing, optimizing based on our KPIs, and analyzing/sharing results
Manage Amazon search campaigns for US backlist titles as well as Canadian front list titles; build and maintain Amazon stores for central and individual publisher use
Support our expanding influencer program, performing outreach, managing titles and executing regular communications with members
Monitor and research new developments in digital marketing/advertising -- in particular in the areas of social media, digital/mobile advertising -- and develop strategies to capitalize on new opportunities in these areas
Assist with managing special projects such as developing in-house marketing tools, influencer program, referral program.
Required Skills / Knowledge:

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute well thought-out and organized marketing plans and strategies
Experience performing audience research and developing relevant target groups
Proven understanding of managing social media advertising campaigns (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)
Proven and strong understanding of current practices in digital marketing, social media and advertising
Strong understanding of A/B testing and analysis
Proven ability to examine data from a variety of sources to form a complete analysis of a campaign
Experience Needed:

5-7 years demonstrated experience in developing digital and social media campaigns that engage, motivate and convert users
2-3 years experience working with Facebook Ads platform
2-3 years experience working with Google display advertising platform
2-3 years experience in researching, identifying and building target audiences
Experience developing and executing advertisement A/B testing
Experience developing multifaceted advertising strategies
Working knowledge of Google Analytics, with experience in tagging and conversion tracking
Proven track record of multi-tasking and prioritize work to meet deadlines
Must be eager to gain experience and skills in new areas
Must have a good sense of humor and enjoy working with other people
Must have excellent communication skills
Educational Background Required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Management, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
