SUMMARY:
The Hachette Books and Hachette Go imprints of Hachette Book Group are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this individual will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing campaigns for a variety of non-fiction titles, from music to cooking and history to politics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement title-specific marketing campaigns each season and ensure that author and publisher objectives are met.
Work with key stakeholders (author, agent, editorial, sales, and publicity) during the planning phase to ensure that there are cohesive and strategic marketing efforts made for each title.
Work closely with the publicity and marketing teams to develop comprehensive online strategies and guidance for our books and authors.
Work with the marketing team to develop a direct-to-consumer marketing platform for the Hachette Go list
Development and growth of imprint-specific online platforms, including website, newsletter, and relevant social media platforms.
Communicate thoughtful marketing, advertising, and sales updates and analyses leading up to, during, and after publication.
Work with special sales to develop organizational sales opportunities as well as author events
Utilize campaign tracking reports to provide data-driven feedback into title-specific marketing plans in seasonal planning meetings.
Develop strategic plan for ongoing marketing of backlist, including reissues, metadata, and instore promotions
Work with Senior Director on ebook promotional strategy for the frontlist and backlist, including price promotions merchandising.
Develop cross-promotional partnerships with a wide range of third-party brands, e.g. entertainment, technology, lifestyle, and non-profit companies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Minimum of 6 years of progressive marketing experience with relevant experience in non-fiction categories including cooking, history, current affairs, and more.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop/InDesign experience is a plus
Familiarity with WordPress, social media advertising, Google AdWords a plus.
Results-oriented, motivated, resourceful & able to work independently.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings regardless of audience.
