Requirements:
W.W. Norton is seeking an Institutional Sales Data Analyst to join its Institutional Sales department. The Institutional Sales Data Analyst will need to be an analytical professional who will oversee refinement of existing data systems and ensure accuracy of current information. Competitive candidates will possess a strong aptitude for creative problem solving and managing technological systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
• Confirm that Institutional Sales data is in compliance with Norton’s internal operational standards and update the data as needed.
• Collect, track and review billing data in transparent manner for internal review.
• Complete monthly audits in collaboration with large vendors to identify unreceived payments and recommend systemic improvements.
• Manage customer opt-outs and maintain internal records.
• Oversee delivery of reliable data to our business and sales management teams for calculating bonus payouts and sales goals.
• Review current processes in place for institutional sales ordering, billing and tracking and make recommendations for improvement.

Required Qualifications:
• Professional demeanor and deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in higher education publishing is preferred, though not essential.
• Knowledge of higher education publishing.
• 2+ years of related professional experience.
• Experience in data management or analysis.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to extrapolate conclusions from large data set.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Must be able to work standard business hours from Norton’s NYC headquarter office or Scranton, Pennsylvania facility.
• Employment eligibility to work with W.W. Norton & Company in the US is required.
